Day 52: I picked up my car from the repair shop today and noticed two things: airplanes heading to La Guardia Airport were landing over Grand Central Parkway and the golden hour was around the corner. I got to the best viewing place I know: 23rd Avenue and 83rd Street. There, I got on the lawn between 23rd Avenue and GCP and waited for the planes.
I’ve always wanted to photograph planes on the approach and today I got my chance. The planes don’t always land over GCP and when they do I either did not have the time or the weather did not allow to go out and shoot. I got to be in the right place at the right time. That is how photography is happening.
